The Columbia New Media Technology Center's guiding vision is enhancing human communication, in the form of digital storytelling, through content-based networked multimedia technology. The center's focus is on the development of tools which will allow users to have a high-level interaction with multimedia content. Engineers, journalist, educators and field related experts create a unique research environment which aims to bridge the cultural gap that often exists between users and producers of technology.
